The chilly wind blows in the autumn high; The bright moon hangs there up in the sky. Leaves gather and flutter and, then they part; The crows perching in the tree get startled at the sight. How long can our days of happy reunion last? Now, thinking of parting tonight, it breaks my heart.
Who could ever know my lovesickness for you? It turns me down and makes me blue. Oh, the yearning is strong and infinite and shall last forever and always! Oh, the yearning haunts me day and night as it often does! Had I not met you before, There wouldn’t be lovesickness any more.
