Oh, the Great Sea,
I finally stand by thee!
Your boundless width
Is my childhood dream,
The legend over the mountains,
And where the clouds stream.
I can’t believe my eyes,
Your great blue with the azure of skies
Somagnificently greets my eyes.
I rush to thee with great eager,
And you open the arms of a father
To receive with loving care,
A child traversing the ocean hither.
The tranquil surface of the sea,
Looks as softand blue as jade.
Your gentle waves,
With innocent love like a maid,
On the soft sand beach,
Her beautiful skirt hath splayed.
Your long and deep moan,
Rolls over like waves of gentle cry,
Uttered by aloving mother
Who hums an old lullaby.
Oh, the MotherSea
I love thee!
Thou art life’s cradle,
And the haven of élan vital.
With you run diminished vigor,
You lap the shore with many a breaker;
Your splashing waves sweep up piles of snow.
You’re going all out with pleasure,
Braving the wind like a valiant soldier.
Half of you areas tender as water,
Half of you areas fierce as fire power.
Your calmness and peacefulness
Are your great kindness
You roar,rumble, and surge,
Are your wave-pushing happiness.
How I want to turn myself,
Into a drop of water crystal-bright!
Being a part ofyour waves
Iglitter and glisten in the sunlight.
How I want to turn myself,
Into a cheerful little anchovy,
Swim in your very depth,
To see the unbrellaed floating lady,
To watch herd rifting elegantly,
To enjoy the view of her graceful body,
And to appreciate her natural beauty.
I want to turn into Captain Nemo,
Thousands of miles under the sea I can go.
To explore the sentiments of the sea:
Whether it’s teeming with
The sadness of separation and lovers’ sorrow;
And under the surging currents,
If joyful tears of reunion
Doth the sea water overflow.
Oh, the Great Sea!
I have to wave goodbye to thee.
Let’s make an appointment
From tomorrow, thee I can often see.
I will ride on the bright moon,
So we’ll rise together with the tide.
To throw myself into your arms
On the setting sun I will ride.
